While the summer holidays mean plenty of rest for some, at ArtsTrain, it's our busiest time of year...

We kicked off the six week run with Creative Industries Day at The Churchill Theatre, packing in a morning full of practical advice and big creative questions for young people keen to make their first steps into the cultural and creative industries.

The sessions were designed to help young people seek out the hidden jobs in the creative sector. This included a talk from the Musicians' Union raising awareness around young people’s rights as creatives, showing young people behind the scenes of a working theatre, and speaking to musicians, festival programmers and theatre company owners about life in the industry.

With huge thanks to The Churchill Bromley and all of their team for hosting the day and helping us bring it to life, Creative & Cultural Skills, Rose Bruford College, Josh Flowers, Enchanted Children's Festival, Knuckle and Joint Theatre Company, MyTime Active, Arts Council England, LEAN and the young people that came and asked such great questions to our session leaders.
