There’s been a lot in the works at ArtsTrain: While the nights may still be dark and dreary, ArtsTrain’s Bromley Academy lit up the stage last week at Bethnal Green’s Rich Mix, where they performed a ten minute set as part of Music For Youth’s (MFY) Contemporary Regional Festival 2019.

Working with ArtsTrain tutors Gawain and Shivon, the Academy chose three original tracks (Don’t Mind Us, Magic and Echoing as their set list, giving everyone in the room a preview of what they’ve been working on behind the scenes.

While the audience got to enjoy the rest of the performances from the festival, our young musicians were eager to hear from MFY’s Music Mentors, who picked out the catchiness of Magic (it’s always in our heads!), the strength of the bass riffs and vocals in Don’t Mind Us and praised the Academy’s harmonies, groove and rhythm section in Echoing in their feedback.

Head over to our Instagram to see some clips from the night - we can’t wait for the next chance for these brilliantly talented musicians to take to the stage.

Thank you for having us Music For Youth and Rich Mix!
